thanks to my Foxtel IQ I went back to time index 21:07 the exact time of Thurston's "tackle" on Slater and was able to see exactly where Thurston put his hand and it was on Billy's face. Bazal contrary to the the belief of many I only have 2 teams Manly and Melbourne, Billy Slater is one of my favourite NRL players and no one not even someone from the Storm injures him without me being angry at them, still not fully forgiven Sam Tagatase for what he did to Billy round 11 last year.

IMO both of them played ok without dominating each other or anyone else. Put it this way, if the Aussie team was picked on form then Prince would still have the spot sewn up and Thurston wouldn't really have enhanced his chances last night to change that. Others might disagree but that's how i saw it.

You honestly thought Thurston was great? In all honesty i thought he'd have a much bigger impact on the game than what he did and didn't really stand out much at all. Considering the penalty count was as lopsided as it was and the field position you got on the back of that then he really should have capitalized and made us pay but he just didn't. I thought he was just ok at best and wasn't in my top 3 vote getters.

Cronk is unfortunate, but i'm a realist and he was never going to get the number 7 back for the Australian team which is fair enough. He was only there because he was the best available option at the time even though it was deserved all the same. A fit Thurston was always going to get it back but again i think Prince should be the first one picked. It won't happen but that doesn't mean it shouldn't happen.
