Are you kidding?

Raiders were excellent. Winning in Wollongong is tough for anybody, and the Raiders tend to struggle away since they always have such a young side (the Roosters usually buy them before they hit their peak).

Canberra have loads of talent, which they've showed a few times this year. What usually brings them undone is confidence, but every win puts a little bit more in the bank.

Today's game was a great boost to their season; the Raiders were still underdogs despite the players missing from the Dragons. It was much like the Sharks win last night.

Parra had 2 players out last night....it was nothing like Cronulla's win last night.
Compare that to the 10 regular first grade players from Saints who didn't take the field, and losing another during the match.

Maaaate... don't do that. Put the shoe on the other foot, then remove it from your mouth.

The many fellow Saints fellas I have met are good and true.

When it comes to sore losing, you're the champ. It's all about passion, right?

apparently skeepe is the biggest sore loser in leagueunlimited.

too bad you wont be around come september

How do you know that? There are only 1 or 2 teams that can't make the 8.

Thanks to the salary cap it's become a very even comp; this weekend has shown how even it is.

These slaps in the face will get more frequent for St George as we get closer to the finals, so Dragons fans better get used to losing a little more graciously than they did tonight.

Yeah I take this win pretty lightly.... Dragons had a number of players out. This year is turning out to be yet another bi-polar year. What's the bet we come out and play like an under 8's team

Not match fit for first grade counts in my eyes.

So our 4 debutants, Saffy 1st game back from injury, and all the others coming up from Reserve Grade are match fit for 1st grade then.

Fair dinkum, some Canberra fans are stupid.

Yes you won, yes you were probably the better side.....no you did not have anywhere near the quality sitting on the sidelines that we did.

If you are happy that your side beat the best part of our reserve grade side by only 1 try, then congrats.

You won, congrats on that....but as others have said, it would be a worry to me if I was a Canberra fan that my side could only just scrape home.

Glad you guys signed Campese for so long also, he is useless.
He must be thanking God tonight that McCrone was inside him today and did all the work for him.

Haven't read the thread.

Well done Canberra, you can only play the team that is put before you. We were low on personnel, by my count were we without nine first graders. I'm very happy with how the young lads played tonight.

I think we are playing you again this year in the cold capital, and you probably won't make the semis. So good luck and we'll have at least one more more shot at you later this year.

To the rest of the Dragons fans, THIS is how you lose graciously. Thanks Willow. You guys just keep on producing fantastic young players, those debutants today have a big future.

Missed the subtle dig he had in his post, He does that alot the sly ol' willow

as i said, i can take a loss as we had 10 regulars out

Mate they beat you every year. You would've lost tonight anyway.

Canberra play with more confidence against the Dragons which is why their execution is so good against you. If their young blokes could play with more consistent confidence they'd beat loads of teams.

The missing Dragons stars, if anything, would have slacked off even more than the rookies tonight. They do every other year.

As I said in my post, you were probably the better side over the 80 minutes.

I'm just pointing out to the Canberra fans who are trying to state that you had equal firepower on the sidelines, that this is not the case, and you guys know it.

Ahhhhhhh but does it really matter about the firepower or how all those players gel as a team?

Read the quote in context mate, the guy I quoted (Skeepe I believe), said that he didn't count one of their players cause he wasn't match fit for 1st grade. Just showing him how silly that line was....if you can't understand that, then I don't know how to help you.

Go the Sharks.

Whats your point? I'd rate learoyd lahrs ahead of costigan anyday, I'd take tongue over creagh (thats my preference), theres never going to be an agreement there.

I dont recall saying we had equal firepower either, closer numbers than some of you were stating yes...
