Geez I can't believe the number of Raiders fans wanking over this win. Good solid win against a severly depleted team. The Dragons had 10 blokes out that would walk in to the first grade team. With Hunt out at the last minute the smart money would surely have been on the Raiders.

As for the footy - I was very impressed by some of the young blokes from both sides, particularly Canberra. Thompson, Croker, Dugan, Stanley, Merrin, et al. It's one thing to say that Canberra should have won, it's another thing for the young blokes to focus and get it done despite been behind on the scoreboard early in the 2nd half.

The way I carried on??? LMFAO you are a joke..deadset....wah wah wah we were missing players for origin.

All I did was say that we were missing players aswell, but hey, your a dragons supporter, so that doesn't matter...and regardless of what we do, you'll still choke come finals time, good luck with that.

the quality of our players are greater then your, therefore we are 1st. therefore your team is outside the top 8, therefore your team will choke during the regular season therefore you will choke too

Haven't read the thread.

Well done Canberra, you can only play the team that is put before you. We were low on personnel, by my count were we without nine first graders. I'm very happy with how the young lads played tonight.

I think we are playing you again this year in the cold capital, and you probably won't make the semis. So good luck and we'll have at least one more more shot at you later this year.

To the rest of the Dragons fans, THIS is how you lose graciously. Thanks Willow. You guys just keep on producing fantastic young players, those debutants today have a big future.

i can take the loss fair and square, but the way you raiders fans go about winning is something to consider.

I always thought the Dragons fans were more classy than this (Then again, I shouldn't base that opinion based on people on an internet forum, I know I wouldn't like to be compared to some of the Raiders fans on here).

But seriously, all your sob stories are a little sad for you really. We were missing our entire forward pack.

Fensom
Tongue
Learoyd-Lars
Shillington
Josh Miller
Danny Galea

Then if you really want you can add a few others to that list if you really want.

Just face it, you were beaten by the better team.
What is it with you Raiders fans,Galea played, and you seriously can't say you had more players out,the 6 origin players to 2 should cruel that argument, throw in Hunt at the warm up,geez.

Well, I have read the thread and it's predictable to say the least.

Raiders fans are happy because they won and continued a long running hoodoo over the Dragons.

Dragons fans piss and moan about anything and everything they can think of.....

Which they do, without fail after every loss.

Mate, if you'd seen your team give up winning leads so often, you'd be ecstatic seeing them close out a victory regardless of who it's over. Add in our pathetic away record over the last few seasons - mate it's almost a bloody miracle.

And you clearly can't take the loss, every single post of yours in this thread has been pathetic excuse-laden drivel.

Congrats Raiders. Always play well against us. I was actually happy with how we played. I thought we would have lost by alot more but the young guys played well and it was really just a 10 minute lapse of concentration that lost us the game.

Cry more. If you ask Raiders fans, McCrone is no better than a reserve grader.

Well if that's the case the fans you refer too are a poor judge.
I'd take McCrone every day of the week over the imposter in number 6 for Canberra.
McCrone was the difference between the sides today.

Really proud of the boys today, 4 debutants, we only used 16 players, Emmett got injured mid-game, we had something like 11 or 12 players out of our best 17 not playing, against a bogey side ... and still only lost by 8 points, could have been 2 points if Green had caught that ball late in the second half.

Great effort, but f**k me, we need to get some non-Origin players like Scott, Smith etc back from injury.

With Hunt and Fien both gone for the season, we are in some trouble though.

Fien isn't gone for the season.
I was told from the horses mouth today, that he is aiming for Round 19.
The cast came off a few weeks ago and physio has started.
Round 19 is our first game after the 2nd bye....so effectively 2 months away.

as i said, i can take a loss as we had 10 regulars out, but what i cant take is you guys saying you guys also had 6 players out, therefore it doesn't matter. which is not the case. only if both teams where at full strength. we shall see in round 24

Yes, the raiders were at full strength.... nevermind Shillington, Learoyd-Lahrs, Tongue, Mogg, Galea etc etc.

Fact is the Dragons had 10 players out through injury and state of origin, and the raiders had 11.

You got toweled with less players missing and a massively lopsided penalty count in your favour

 f**ken idiot! Look at the quality of players Saints had out compared to that of the Raiders Mogg and Galea etc :lol::lol:

I'll give you the first 3 Canberra players you mentioned.....but do tell me where in the 17 the other blokes would play.
And go ahead and name the other 6 Canberra players who were missing to make up this list of 11 regular first grade players missing.

Maaaate... don't do that. Put the shoe on the other foot, then remove it from your mouth.

The many fellow Saints fellas I have met are good and true.

When it comes to sore losing, you're the champ. It's all about passion, right?

Raiders had Shillington, Learoyd-Lahrs, Tongue, Miller, Fensom, Carney all out missing, all regular first graders.

f**king sore losers the lot of you.

Carney wasn't selected....that's not missing.
It's not like he was unavailable through injury.
Quite certain he played in your feeder side.
