A win over a below par Cowboys side was hardly brilliant from the Eels. Arguably the Dogs win over the Broncos wasn't that great despite the 18 point margin. I think the Dogs can win this one and get payback for the loss in the prelims of 09

Bulldogs - 2.40
eels - 1.55

might put something on the dogs to be honest, had a feeling we wouldn't be favorites, but didn't think this would be the gap between the two teams.

I think there's far too much importance being placed on the injury issues. Morris and Roberts were both off the field during our three try romp in the middle of the second half and I'm not even sure Hannant was still out there actually...

I agree that too much emphasis has been placed on our injuries, and unlike 2008, I look at our replacements and know they can easily do the job, I mean having players like Green and Barba who have been in excellent form come in to cover the 5/8 role, and then we have upcoming players like Tim Browne who i thought has been impressive, to cover Hannant, even Tia Kilifi is a solid replacement for Morris, although Millard will be missed

Tricky one to pick, Eels do seem to be slowly getting back to their 08 form and Dogs likewise. Leaning towards the Eels because of the injuries to the Dogs even though apart from Hannant they haven't had a significant impact this season.

Parra weren't exactly in stellar form leading into that game...

And I think "below par" is a harsh way to describe them. They played really well.

Wouldve been such an injustice had a try come from that BS high shot penalty against Tahu...f**kin refs have NFI....and how much slower is the PTB now, and have they also scrapped the flop rule as well...I mustve missed the memo

nothing's doing in attack, although we are dominating field position thanks to a superb kicking game, we haven't been able to capitalise which is really annoying. Although, I highly enjoyed that Idris fend on Tahu lol

Tahu should've been penalised for a 3rd man in penalty the tackle before anyway. The high shot was soft though.

Eels should win this. They'd be worried if they lost considering the Dogs lack of quality go forward.

the high shot penalty was because simpleton realised after the fact he missed the flop.

Why the hell do we always resort to one out rubbish when we get into a contest. Get some bloody depth in the backline and give it to barba and idris
