looking at our season even thought we came second last 32 points gets you in the eight , we lost 8 games by 6 or less points this year not counting a couple of others that we were in it to our eye balls the 8 lost cost us a finals spot . now with a good coach next year in which we now have im 100% confident we make the eight in 2024 .

Hopefully your confidence wins out stefano. Just a couple more much better guys amongst the troops for next year in the right positions could do the trick to help win those close games - oh and Hunt to make sure he can close out games.

Love the way you think. Seeing a team like the Warriors turn around with a change of coach, well you never know.

Im more confident that with a new coach in Flanno & the Captain that doesn’t want to be here, we will remain in that bottom 4 region……
We would need a miracle to climb into the top 8, in the form of some mongrel in the middle, some speed out wide and a decent halfback that runs forward.

Thinking Mad Monday should see the start of some positive news for all us long suffering Dragons fans
In his current capacity Flanagan cant conduct press conferences highlghting player signings for 2024 and beyond
Am hopeful that both he and Deano will bring at least 1 or 2 disgruntled players from the Eagles and Cows , followed by players finalising deals at their bottom 8 Clubs
Players that have been sounded out from semi bound sides wont be made public till after their campaigns end
.As for the Coops drama , thinking it was just the former centre dipping his hat into the ring for a gig .Haven't seen anywhere that Flanagan stated he was in discussions for a spot , but would be great to have him on board in some sort of role if a position becomes vacant.
Apart from Mbye Woods and Kerr has anyone else had confirmation of others been told to go that have found Clubs ? Could backfire on our signing capacity if they dont.
Expect Flanno to hit the ground running next week..Must stamp his footprint and authority on the place asap for everyones sake .
The Green shoots are there , they just need watering

I'm not willing to make any sort of predictions until I see who has definitely signed. Flanno has a lot of work to do, recruiting and pathways are a mess, the NRL squad needs new attacking and defensive structures. That is one hell of a bucket list. Plus there is our overarching captain that I still really think he doesnt want to be there. And above all else the BOD, say no more !!!

Surely Flanno can see the logic that the best course of action is to Eff Hunt off now . Unless he is waiting for someone to come off contract for 2025 and use Dee Heads money for that player?

Any Coach who would wait till Nov 1 would be a fool
Im sure there have been plenty of clandestine meetings between SF and his new Coaching Squad with hit lists and programs put in place
Please lets pray Haran isnt part of those discussions
A coach being involved in football matters before he’s allowed to. Surely Flanno would not do something like this 🙄😂

Flanno is playing it smart saying Hunt is key to the side and digging in his heels. If Flanno showed any indication that Hunt is not wanted, all these clubs will be coming in and offering % of his salary which is the last thing Saints need. Saints don't want to pay a few hundred 1000 for a guy to play in another club. If a club wants to get him, they pay all his contract or nothing. Due to this all clubs stopped pursuing Hunt because they themselves know 800k+ for a 33yr old half is way to much.

If Flanno can get Hunt to play to his potential which he did at the Sharks, that is get all the boys to play to their potential, he will be our favourite player in no time and well worth the 800k.

So we hope that Jesus can perform a minor miracle and get capt ben to stop sooking around and play some heads up footy. Get our forwards to hunt as a pack and get super fit so as to stop giving up unnecessary 6 agains, get Sloan to play like changa, get suli and Zac to play like coops and gaz, Amone to find a kick skill and pace like Sowie, and Rava to stay on his wing and carry the ball out and just finish off slick backline moves like bmoz.
Then we will be minor premiers!
Keep praying

Reality

We’ve lost the last 5 games in a row and won only 5 games all year. We’ve signed an old off cut in Hame Sele and are clinging onto a captain and main playmaker who can’t wait to get away.

Not sure how you can take that and equate it to guaranteed success. For starters we have a turnstile to the try line out the back.
