What comments is he being fined for?
Bagging the refs and bunker for encouraging diving by acting as the mrc mid match. That's what we are talking about.
Bagging Cummins for his bias

the laying down seemed worse then usual yesterday because it happened so often and the dives were so exaggerated. but lets be serious, its a game issue as opposed to a dragons issue.

league used to be about being tough and getting to your feet no matter how hurt you were. we used to pride ourselves on being the toughest sport in the world. stories like sattlers broken jaw spoken about in legend, something no other sport could match. we laughed at soccers divers and at AFLs pathetic 'melee's.'

these days we are just as bad if not worse then soccer. seeing nightingale kicking out in the tackle trying to get to his feet, then grabbing his forehead in agony, however quickly realising he is playing for a crusher penalty and not a head high so then grabbing his neck, was beyond embarrassing. as was adam reynolds staying down, deciding to get up, but then have paul carter run over and tell him to stay down so they could check for a penalty.

these are just examples but every team is doing it. i partly blame the referees too. if they pulled up blatant high tackles a lot of players wouldnt have to stay down. the amount of times we see a player stay down, its looked at on replay only to see him get collected flush in the head is ridiclous. the referees dont want to make a decision so are waiting to see if the players stay down and will allow the video to rule on it. all responsibility is taken off them.

we really need to say 'if the referees miss it bad luck.' it will put more responsibility on the refs to actually make a call and stop this embarssing diving that we see every game.

This sums it up

If the NRL cares about the perception that the game is going soft, then it should remove video referees checking high tackles. Players are way too incentivised to dive knowing the tackle will be checked if they stay down.

Remove the influence of the video ref in relation to onfield decisions and we'll stop seeing so many dives. It's become absolutely ridiculous. If the ref misses it too bad. The player can still be referred to the match committed anyway. It'll also stop such inconsistent use of the video ref for on field decisions

Robinson seemed very calm making his outburst. The whole thing sounds like a premeditated rant. Maybe to deflect some early attention on Pearce's comeback this week. He will be named today and what are talking about at the Roosters"? not the fact they are 1 -7 or his comeback.

LOL @ Robbo
He coaches his team to give away penalties when they are defending the try line. He coaches his players to tackle high and rap the ball, even if they make an illegal head high contact.
He doesn't whinge about the MISSED CALLS for the roosters forward pass which eventuated in a try or a knock on which also eventuated in the second try.
Both referees made bad calls for BOTH teams.....but you don't see our coach whinging like a sook.

If you bark at the referee like a dog... then the referee will treat you the same.
Maybe Robbo should hire someone to teach his players about manners and talking to people with respect.

Matty Johns touched on this point last night. He believed it was used as a tactic by the Roosters club to place pressure on the NRL and Tony Archer to not allocate Ben Cummins to their games due to their win/loss record under him.

I suppose a $10, 000 or so fine is petty cash at the Roosters so it's worth the risk.

Funnily, the Roosters are claiming the rough end of the stick from Cummins when the main calls in question were called by the Bunker. Cummins was the one who allowed the 2 roosters tries that were not. I am still struggling to understand how the Roosters are complaining about 2 incidents that were clearly penalties anyway?

little twent starting to get found out....

I'm my opinion as a Saints fan ( there was no penalty there) and should've been play on , everybody gets dud calls , yesterday it was easts....
Take your problems to the NRL , we give you your best game of the season every time...there wouldn't have been anymore then 5000 of you there yesterday.
We are the better club , have more premierships and don't rely on one persons impending death to run a club...
McCrone may have stayed down the second time , id rather he do that then go and bash some women at tank nightclub then write a letter about how sorry he was.
Please easts you are and always have been a laughing stock

Better question is why, with 4 officials on the field, are so many head high tackles being missed? If refs were doing their job there would be no need for bunker review.

They've moved to only being involved for reportable offences, maybe go one more and only be involved for sin bin or sending off offences. Anything else refs fault for missing.

Hilarious! Apart from Moa picking up points the only suspension from the game is Joel Thompson for his hit on Guerra.

Seems like someone got it wrong.

Seriously? You sold your soul to survive. You layed down then and you lay down now. Your own club put up on the big screen that we have only played each other 30 odd times.

He copped it high it's a simple as that it was fair penalty, If you want to complain about players laying down from fake injuries complain about Nightingale that bloke got a penalty and didn't even know what part of his head was injured...

Thought he got some contact to the front of the head before the grapple. Only saw it once so might be mistaken.

I've also done a study showing grapple tackles can give rise to an immediate migrane... came up with that just then so may not be accurate.
