My initial reaction had been that he was stopping the ball from hitting him, which was fair enough IMO. On replays not so sure, and if the law says out he should've been. Didn't make any difference but no doubt the Indians will cry anyway.
I may be wrong but I believe that you have to appeal for a specific dismissal. If the Indians appealed for obstructing the field the umpires can only rule on that, same with handling the ball or any other dismissal.
Personally I would have given Hussey out.
It's not fair enough read the f**king rules

Had this discussion with my father a year or so back (he did an umpiring course), and he assured me that an appeal covers all dismissal forms and you do not have to specifically appeal for a certain out.
poor technique by mckay
that wouldnt have been out in park cricket
Also has anyone noticed how decisive the umpires are this afternoon for the australian tailend dismissals since wade?
The finger has gone up to not even give the Australian batsmen the opportunity the chance to trick the umpires into thinking that they were in
 Sehwag should get in touch with Greg Matthews.Fair dues.
Sehwag is a disgrace. This bloke is meant to be an international cricketer yet he does not have a hair transplant. Pull your bald head in viru.
