A crowd of 25,843. Not a fall house. Down about 800 on last year.

Someone was saying during the week that this game will out grow Skilled Stadium. Well it didn't tonight and in my opinion it never will.

Its a fun game and people at the moment enjoy it, at the moment. I am not sure it has a long shelf life.
Part of the problem with Skilled Park is the ticket prices.

Especially can't complain about the fact we got 25,843 when a soccer game featuring the 1st place team just 5 days ago drew 1,003 through the same gates.

Thank god thats over.

Does anyone else feel like that was a really poor trial.

To me this game will never be anything more

Dugan for NSW fullback.
Uate also pressed his claims well.
Morris will be lucky to get a look in.

imo this game will need to be played in different venues each year to keep the crowds interested

Agree. I looked forward to it all week for a taste of footy....but was left feeling like a just ate a dodgy kebab....seemed alright and the start, but by the end of it, tasted sh*t.

I hope and expect tomorrow night's Charity Shield will give us more.

So is there anything to take out of tonights game?
IMO:
Gould will most definitely continue the whining about everything.

Cam Smith, Matt Scott and Josh Dugan look strong early contenders for the Dally M.

Rabs will make the usual mistakes - except more often.

That's about it really....

Not nearly as important as keeping count of how many times Greg Inglis say "you know" per interview, eh dickhead?

Don't forget his moment of silence counter.

I didn't mind the game, but it was something of a cakewalk this year. It was to be expected without Hodges, Inglis and Thaiday. Not to mention, the Dream Team didn't look well coached.

Matt Scott, Benji Marshall and Josh Dugan have signalled their intentions for the year. I thought Matt Bowen was great for the indigenous side.

Carl Webb looked fitter as well, he did a lot of work.

Yeah Benji looked on from the start if he stays fit for the year he's going to carve up and go close to the Dally M if Robbie Farah stops stealing points off him.

Good game.

Petero was MOTM for me. Disgrace Learoyd-Lars played 4N final instead of him.

I felt that both Scott and Hannant were better than Petro. All 3 were very good. Which is to be expect when they are up against a pretty average pack.

Scott was veyr impressive I agree there.

Hannant looked a bit off the pace imo. Plenty of improvement left in him.
