Well, Stuart's either a genius or a complete tosser, because I'm bewildered. The main thing about game 1 was go forward. They had it, we didn't. So we pick only two genuine front rowers, one of them a benchy for his club. How does that assist our metreage and arrest theirs? I just don't get it. Can someone more intelligent than me please explain.

Snowden harshly treated when they keep Merrin. TLL should also be playing.

Wish Lawrence was fit, best left centre we have.

well its this game for stuart and if he fails he should be sacked, but he wont if he does and him and bozo will stay on forever.

after 6 series loses I think its fair to say you need to sack the selectors

NSW are going to get f***ing belted. We got completely smashed in the front rowers in Game 1, so the answer is pick even fewer front rowers next game. I'm a Knights fan but picking Gidley as well as Lewis makes no sense at all - unless the plan is to name Gidley at Fullback and bring in a front rower on to the bench (and even then we'd be stupid not to pick Stewart at Fullback).

Fairly sure Stuart is trying to get himself sacked from the Origin job so he can go coach Penriff next year. Only answer I can come up with that ridiculous team.

Watch Timmah have a whinge, "bu..bu..but he played for Australia"
Don't agree with the omission, but that said, Hopoate is a great player. No problem there.

if it was up to him barba would be at fullback
Barba is a Queenslander you dopey f**kface.

Snowden's carrying an injury and isn't very mobile at the moment - Stuart explained that after the team announcement. TLL unlucky though, I agree, and Lawrence, if fit, would be the best option.

It's hard to comprehend, in the wash up from last year if someone had said..... TLL, Josh Morris and Idris would be completely over looked for the first 2 games..... ?

Lewis, Hayne, Idris and TTL should have been there from start. Dugan won't be fit and shouldn't have been considered (although I think it was the right move to have him in game 1). Will Hopoate is a fine young player, but..... he's only played a handfull of games and he won't be around next year anyway.

Sure we've got injuries...... Gordon, Morris, Lawrence and now Dugan, Stewart isn't at full fitness nor is David Williams. However Luke Burt is available and still in good touch, he wouldn't let anyone down.

The idea of Stuart being a fulltime coach should have made everything simple, but this team for game two..... way too over complicated. Gallen at prop? not necessary, only 1 prop on the bench, 2 back rowers???? As much potential as he's got, Creagh has done little at Origin level and he's only there to be a hole runner for Soward. Scott was solid in game 1 but you feel he to is there to compliment Soward. Lewis should be in the starting side and play the full 80 along with Bird, Gallen should be in the back row and get subbed with Watmough for a rest.

Hayne, Burt, Morris, Gasnier, Uate, Soward, Pearce, Gallen, Bird, Lewis, Mannah, Gidley, TLL. White, Merrin, Weyman, Watmough.

Has any front rower made more than 200 metres in an Origin match before? Matt Scott is going to eat the Blues up. Seriously...in a game where it was completely lost in the front row why on earth would we make that front row even lighter than the game before it?

It is perplexing. I don't understand the thought process behind it. Yes it is more mobile but the QLD defence is far too good and too consistent to be worried by that. We needed size and lots of it.

Ahhh it wouldn't be the lead-up to an Origin game if we didn't have the usual yawn-fest of people bagging the NSW team. It's great.

I'm not bagging because, in all seriousness, I don't put myself in the position of pretending to have the knowledge that the real judges have. Having said that though, I just don't get it. We lacked go forward in the last game. Do you think this crew will give us more? I just want someone to explain to me how this is an improvement.

Well I've got a novel idea. How about us NSWelshman actually get behind the team for the next 10 days and let's wait and see how Origin 2 plays out. Sure, we're playing a very, very good Queensland side; probably the best ever, but let's reserve judgment until after full-time next Wednesday night. Only then will we know if and how this team is or isn't, was or wasn't, an improvement on Origin 1.

Lack of size and talent isn't going to get over a dominant bigger quicker team no matter how much a few people on a forum get behind them mate. Get real.

That's a great idea JD. I'm confident we can even this series up in Sydney with that side

With 2 specialist props...of which are both very raw when it comes to origin?

It doesn't matter who we pick, you'd still find reason to nit-pick. Who gives a flying f*ck if they're 'raw.' They're good enough to be there and will get the job done
