Just looked it up, he has started 15 games at full back in the NRL...for 13 tries.
He definitely played for Norths Brisbane there as he was coming through the ranks.
He's just got so much size on him now, Maguire would probably not want to lose him offensively, or defensively....who's really going to run at Taylor/Inglis/King?
exactly 13 tries in 15 games, that's pretty good.
how many tries has he scored at centre? probably not that many in twice as many matches.
it wouldn't be too hard to cut up in the pre season(even know) & be at the right weight. who else have they got to play fb, no one that's half as good!
you want your best players getting the ball as much as possible & at fb that would happen a lot more. there attack & defence would improve heaps with GI at fb imo. imagine GI running the ball back at you, they will start there sets off in a lot better field position. running onto cut out passes in the 20 & he will be able to support burgess, taylor & move around instead of being stuck on one side, etc. then there's the pluses in defence... i don't get why they wouldn't try it???
