Didn't the Roosters score two in the last 2 minutes a (good) few years ago to snatch a win? Was that also against Souths?

Burgess' stats seem very impressive (ignoring 6 missed tackles...), almost Gallen like.

Hope he gets a fair go with injury this year. Souths would indeed have been better with him for 26 rounds last year, so who knows, if he is fit this year they might top 8. 1 down, about 12 to go.

How was Reynolds? Seems he went well enough for a rookie from comments so far, is that a fair assessment? I think a lot rests on him. Sutton with 2 line breaks and a try might actually be worth his contract now.

What about Mortimer? Did he look like a potential regular first grader?

What an enjoyable end to a fairly dire game of football
That second half was excrutiating to watch until the last five minutes - how Souths didn't put us away I'll never know. If they have aspirations for the top 8, they must be f**king kidding themselves.

The Roosters started brightly and played some enterprising Rugby League early on - but by the 40th minute they seemed spent. Yet Souths refused to kill us and their generosity was rewarded in the best way possible, by rubbing their faces in it.

Not a great win by any stretch of the imagination, but the greatest result possible. Sometimes I really love Rugby League.
