Stewart out for the season Im hearing. Manly will get lapped on Sat nite - wont/cant score more then 10pts without him. Score will be @ 30 - 8 to the chooks. The irony is that old man Stewart, and his fat brother, will end up costing Manly Cherry Evans. If Manly had some balls and brains they would piss off the two gits, and sign Hoppa when he flees Parra. I mean how many games does Brett Stewart play a year for his 500k? He always lets Manly down when it matters - his body is that of a 60yr old.

Whilst Stewart is a loss, it's not something manly cannot overcome. I believe the loss of JWH is a more significant loss for the roosters. Manly have a winning pedigree, they thrive in finals football . The roosters too , have an exceptional semi final record . Since 2002 they have lost twice in something like 13 matches.
Grand finals are a different story.
Without two of their very best forwards, the eagles won't get a better opportunity to defeat the roosters

I think Stewart is a bigger loss than JWH

Manly's attack looks pretty pedestrian with Stewart out. While Hiku is a great talent, he doesn't have the ability that Stewart has to chime in smoothly into the backline and set his outside men up.

Is Luke O'Donnell playing for the Roosters? He could probably help provide some of that mongrel that they lose with JWH out

We will have to rely on some unstructured attack because there is no way we will pierce the Roosters defense on set plays without Stewart's sharpness.

I honestly don't think Stewart not playing will hurt manly as much as some on here. Manly are a more than capable team, it will still be a very tight game.

Totally agree - Stewart's loss is massive. He is a dual premiership winning fullback.JHW has been solid this year but he is not Glenn Lazarus - mercy.Dont believe the hype, and how the newspapers tell you about how great he is.The chooks wont even know he is missing, and neither will the viewers...

Is there confirmation of this or a source at all?

Massive impact on the game if so.

Just saw the story on Triple M's website.

Bugger me, that makes it an uphill battle. Apparently he does have another fitness test in the morning but extremely unlikely.

Still have faith in the boys but not really confident now. However, Hiku has been getting better every game so anything is possible!!!

No Stewart = the end of Manly. I hope so, for the sake of the code.

Such a bitter young lady aren't you?

If we win tonightcI'll have a warm feeling in my heart just for you.

Lets see if the refs keep their filthy noses out of this game unlike last night. NRL would LOVE a Souths v Roosters GF.....

Kind of want manly to lose so we are on different tracks leading to the grand final, but I want them to beat the roosters.

f**k it, go manly, at least then the hallowed bullshit grand final that's been talked up would be no chance of happening.
