yeh hopefully luke gets off, he was really good tonight. I don't think it was as bad as some made out, he didn't drive down & the 2nd souths defender teo? didn't help. I think luke just lost his balance with SBW being twice his size you can't blame him. mos def not worth missing the GF!!!

great to see souths finally get to a GF & hopefully send big sam off with a ring & CC medal. he deserves it after tonights epic performance & the way he always puts his body on the line.

always have had a soft spot for souths since the 80's, they should have won the comp back then with the great players they had! Phil Blake one of my favorite players growing up & one of the best halves ever! great pack back then too, led by the hard curnt, Les Davidson!

Regardless of any controversy the best side won tonight by some margin. They will be clear favorites for the big one regardless of who wins tomorrow night.

Well done Bunnies, well deserved.

Granted it probably deserves a week or two but not missing GF. The match review committee have been an absolute joke of the game for a long time so one more week wont make any difference.

Firm reasoning. Still I'll have to disagree.

We had to play our best game of the year to win.

Well played to the Roosters.

Also congrats to Mini on a glittering career.

Cheers

No 10-5 penalty counts in the grand final souffs. Knock ons get called too.

If the dogs win tomorrow they will bury you

This week is going to be fun. Reading all the souffs fans making their big nervous posts trying to convince themselves why they'll win is great entertainment

The gameplan to beat souths has been created and proven. Take it to their forwards in the opening 20 mins, and they'll get rattled. Their plan A of bash and barge defeated, their non-existent plan B comes into effect and the points flow. Cowboys did it, we did it, and we'll do it again.

:lol::lol::lol:

This thread is just brilliant. I love reading these when I get home after games, I figured the usual suspects (Swarzey and Danish the co-captains of the bitch brigade) would be moaning about the refs - I wasn't disappointed.

Shaky start but just so much better across the field after the first 15. Aimed up in defense particularly when the Roosters were coming off their own line.

Blame the refs all you want sooks, you make double the amount of errors we do and you're no chance.

Now, a long week ahead. Glory Glory.

When the going gets tough, Jennings gets going. The other way.

Souths had 56% of possession for the game. Jennings had 9 runs and was well contained

Other that Pearce early in the game, none of the roosters backline got going

credit to souths defence and completion rate which was insane compared to the roosters

Including the Grand Final. Chooks hit 70 in 3 games.
In 2001 Canterbury conceded 74 in 2 games. No GF

2009 donkeys conceded 82 in 3 games. No GF

2010 warriors conceded 72 in 3 games. (82 in 4 including GF)

2012 souths conceded 72 in 3 games.

2013 Newcastle conceded 72 in 3 games.

Brilliant career Minichiello, always one of my favourites, a shame he was struck with the injuries at his peak but still a great player.

Good game last night, Souths were just far too good in the end. Better team won on the day.
