Not sure if its been mentioned but:

1974 Dogs lost to Roosters in the GF
1984 Dogs beat Eels in the GF
1994 Dogs lost to Raiders in the GF
2004 Dogs beat Roosters in the GF
2014 Dogs Vs Souths ????

Quite an incredible stat.
Speaking of ridiculous stats, the Rabbitohs haven't lost a Grand Final in 45 years!

Rabbitohs last won a GF when? Before Rove was born?

At least our squad has GF experience

See ya Souths hehe

A team coming 7th last when the GF when?.... Oh wait, NEVER! Whoever won tonight was realistically getting a beat down, I wouldn't have minded getting it because it would've been an exciting week and achievement for our club. It wasn't to be. Now the Dogs will get destroyed next week.

Oh wait, the tears, so butthurt

Hey, you should be happy with your team making the GF against all odds as I would have been. You won fair and square and we weren't good enough when it mattered so not making excuses for Penrith, just saying reality that next week Souffs would have to choke big time to lose. You should be thanking us for beating the Rorters to open up a GF spot for someone other than Souffs/Rorters.

Congratulations to the Bulldogs on making the Grand Final. It was a tough, old fashioned slog of a game, and you were the better side. I'm ecstatic to have got this far into the finals and feel sure we'll do even better next year.

Well done Dogs. It is a huge effort to turn around a spell of form like theirs over the last six weeks of the regular season. Even if they had a good run through the finals. They defended well and deserved the win.

I will say that Penrith well and truly lost that game. Worst I've seen them play since April. Maybe the week off or the occasion. In any case I'm bitterly disappointed but so proud we got here. We had no right to be there. Next year will be so so different though.

Well done panthers on a cracking season...I was not expecting a good result against you tonight.
As a former resident of that part of town I can't help but have mixed emotions about the win.

However I will not have those mixed emotions next week against the wabbits!
