Lol, people whinging about refs. The same refs that awarded a penalty instead of a try to the Storm.

This. 11-10 Penalty count isn't exactly one sided, Penrith couldn't get the advantage when Melbourne had billy in the bin, they needed some more points during that period. Idris looked great in his first game in Panthers colours, great in defense at least, team is gelling very nicely considering they've only been together a few weeks for the most part, will be there-abouts at the end of the year.

And the Panthers opted to go for 2 points when 30 metres out with 12 Storm on the field, Panthers cannot blame anyone but themselves and wish like most of us we had clutch players like Smith, Cronk and Slater.

I don't care how biased you think the refs are calling a penalty count where a team won by 1 'lopsided' is just ludicrous. The penalty count was basically even and we got a player binned. There were bad calls both ways and both teams had a chance to win the match.

We just happened to come up with the plays at the crucial moments. Instead of just enjoying the fact that your club looks like a real threat this year you're having a cry about the refs instead. It sucks you guys lost but there is always next week.

Both teams were pretty good, but again Cronk and Smith showed they stand up when it counts.

I love Fifita but if he is worth $800 000 surely Smith and Cronk are worth well over $1 million a year each? Only a handful of players win games for their teams as consistently as Smith and Cronk.

It was hard to judge last week, but Penrith certainly look capable of playing finals football so far this year. And not related to anything else, but man I love Docker's tackling.

Better team lost. Penalty count may have been close at the end. But the penalties still favored storm. Had something like a 10-2 penalty count to give them that lead and they were worth more then the penrith penalties. Some penalties are square ups with little or no advantage. Some are get out pf jail penalties that change momentum entirely.

There are quite a few people in this forum that live in denial in regards to their teams own performance v refs performance. Some of these people will be the first to have a laugh at others that blame the refs as well.

People complain because they like to have a good whinge. It's not just storm threads either, basically the same thing is said every game. If you want to wallow around in self pity because you lost a game that's your choice. It's got to be a pretty depressing way to watch the footy though.

Did you even see the penalty flow that had Storm in the lead. End penalty counts sre nowhere near the full story. Between square ups and pointless penalties. They can paint a different picture. Anyone who watched the game can see how the flow favored one team over the other.
