If you added sufficient gold and designed them to look distinct, would the colour overlap matter? You’ve also got Swans/St George, Waratahs/Blues, GWS/Tigers etc overlapping in colours. Granted, the tank tops help with separating the AFL teams.

Ideally we wouldn’t have colours that are currently being used by a perth club. Blue and black are forces colours and recognised as such in perth.
