If the ARL bailed out the Cowboys when they asked for support then the club wouldn't have jumped ship to Super League. Face it buddy, Arthurson and Quayle were corrupt and biased. They're the reason Super League happened.

Go use the search function and see for yourself. I said the Storm draw poor ratings in Melbourne. It doesn't change the fact they're one of the most watched clubs on Foxtel. Yes, a lot of it has to do with them being successful and entering the NRL when SEQ was starved of content. Doesn't change the fact they're successful. I've argued that their popularity in Queensland and NSW will decline when their onfield success comes to a halt. When it does their value to the broadcasters will drop. Until that happens they'll bs one of the more valuable teams.

Mariners have tapped in the community, and have built a businees funding model like English soccer, with their key asset being Soccer 5s

They are steadily building into a powerhouse and I would not be surprised if they start funding a privately owned new Stadium in Tuggerah soon
