Anywhere else and it’s way to much travel.
If this goes through it’s going to be The Bears.

10 home games out of PNG/Pacific & 2 home games at NSO. There’s 9 Sydney sides make those your away games. And yes, the side will probably be called ‘The Bears’.
Same red & black colour scheme but with a pacific twist no doubt.

You guys have deadset gone too far the rabbit hole if you think the NRL are signing off on an Easts or Norths quasi Pacific Island team.

If you want a PNG/Pacifica team surely you put it in a development area. Push the cashed up WA gov. / federal gov. for a Centre of Excellence and PNG/Pacifica academy with scholarships on offer. Work on attracting good coaching talent across to work with the players.

Its not "Vlandys world" its the last 2 pages of the forum folk here, everyone has an idea to get either bears or tigers involved in a pasifika team... which defeats the purpose of that said team, you want another team in sydney... bears, you want another team in brisbane... tigers, none of them really want to go to png or anywhere else in the pacific

Been saying that for years! The only gap a WA club has is jnr development numbers. A WA club having a serious and long term partnership with PNGRL is a no brainer. Especially as the PNG kids who come across can get scholarship in mining trades as part of the deal and if their footy career doesnt work out at least they can go back and work in PNG at a decent level.
