Here’s an interesting consideration. Cronulla jnr region is often touted as one of the strongest in the country.

in 2023 CJRL had 13 clubs and 5500 registered boys and girls
in 2023 NRLWA had 24 clubs and around 3500 boys and girls registered

so you can see WA really isnt as far off in numbers as you east coasters like to think. What we lack is quality of coaches And elite pathways for the kids, wich an eventual nrl and nrlw place to aspire to. Something an nrl team will fix.
The quality is different dimwit. The elite pathways are designed to syphon the elite players through. If you start with a poorer product you're going to finish with less elite product.

Done that research yet to work out the conversion rate ?

you talking about rugby league it’s like a man in the dark fumbling around for the light switch
No, it’s impossible data to find. I did find some interesting comparative jnr stats though! I thought you must have know given you brought it up? I’m waiting for you to tell me.

If the affiliated states got a sixth of the funding the QRL and NSWRL got there would be more development happening in those 2 states. I’ve just come back from the affiliated states tournament and from what I heard, it looks like there will be an increase in funding, so then we might see some actual growth
You'd hope so, the players contract agreement had to be settled first , now they'll move into to other funding.

Afl red is so full of crap

png won’t be able to produce nrl players but Perth will
Oh bless now whose getting triggered?
again I never said png won’t produce players, i said that a team based in png wont be able to sign australia and nz players and will therefore have to produce and hold onto an entire squad of players. good luck with that.

There is no club that produces all its own players. Penrith are closest but in their 30 man squad there is a decent % signed form out of region,

the ARLCs mandate is to grow the game across Australia. They should be spending more than the pittance they do on jnr participation in EVERY state. My comment was in the nonsense about nrl having to give a perth nrl club more than the grant the other club are getting because 25 years ago melbourne needed it, sorry the context of the conversation went above your head.
Your whole argument for Perth is " give us a team, give us money , give us talent "
Like... f**k off 🤷‍♂️

It's a shit ton off the numbers!
You've used all of WA again a shire!
You do realise there's massive juniors in the regions?
Are we goi to include Tamworth, Mudgee, Coffs harbour....
Ffs
Eh? Cronulla region is talked about as one of the str8 best in the world. Those are the numbers for the Cronulla region. If the cronulla region is a fertile area for producing jnrs for nrl then perth isn’t far off numbers wise!

I said you can write off a large % of them from becoming nrl players due to their size. So those jnrs, which no one is able to say how many, are significantly lower I. Reality form a nrl production line pint of view. You and donkey are really struggling this week lol

The funniest part of this forum is when your Perth bias gets you to just make stuff up and then you get called out on it

Afl rejects

how many made it to the nrl from Perth vs Cronulla ?
Haha whoosh, the sound of the point going over your head.

we are now establishing with facts that Perth jnr numbers are not far off most current nrl clubs regions, so next question becomes what’s missing?
Elite systems and an nrl club to aspire to. Guess what solves that? Yep the West Coast Pirates!

Nah the funniest part is you either being so dumb as to not understand context of conversations, or so belligerent you just ignore facts put before you lol.

Here you go in case you missed it, thanks for the advice to get some facts.
