So the NRL should put a team in Perth so the WA Gov can generate more revenue from tourism and allow you to go to 12 games?

If you're a Queenslander or New South Welshmen living in Perth then you can still follow the game on Kayo/Foxtel. They moved there knowing it's a rusted on fumbleball city.

No need for a team in Perth.
And the people who grew up here following it? Are you just about to make another ignorant assumption about Perth?
Try thinking first.

“It seems Cook's cries for a team are not falling on deaf ears as V'landys is already giving the proposal serious thought.

"Perth has to be high on the table now, especially with a premier so passionate about wanting to have a team there. They warrant serious consideration," V'landys told the publication.

“If you've got a government that's going to get 100 per cent behind you, you've got a run-up start. We had a really good conversation and we'll be chatting again. The fact he rang in his first week in the job shows how keen they are.”

Like putting another team in Brisbane, it's almost like the NRL want to reward and represent those who actually play/ contribute to the sport first.
That’s not really true, because the Central Coast would have a team by now instead of the NRL catering for clubs like the Roosters and Manly who will never grow, actually their junior base seems to dwindle year after year.

How many people grew up in Perth supporting RL?

What are the average TV ratings for NRL in Perth?

How many people play the game in Perth?

Try providing some evidence to back up your claims.

With the bust in the Chinese property market the impact on Perth could be a desire

It'll be interesting to see how much money Cook is willing to spend on a high performance training centre and a rebuild of Perth Rectangular Stadium. If he doesn't provide a stadium to match the quality of Robina Stadium, North Queensland Stadium, Lang Park, Melbourne Rectangular Stadium, SFS and Parramatta Stadium then the bid should be thrown out. FIFA didn't want to play quarter-finals of the women's soccer at a dump like Perth Rectangular Stadium. Neither should the NRL.

WA Gov has money and are only interested in a team to generate revenue from tourism. V'landys needs to be smart and get something in return to the game. Perth won't generate much in the way of players. It provides f**k all value to the broadcast rights as the ratings for Perth are shit. A Perth-based team will struggle to generate game day revenue at a dump like Perth Rectangular Stadium.

It

It's your claim. You prove it.
Are you insane?

You spoke about the people who grew up supporting the game in Perth.

The onus is on you prove it. If I were to show you how many people play the game in Perth you'll make a dumb remark about me using Google. I know the answer, BTW. It's not much. The fact you don't know the answer proves you're a wilfully ignorant moron with an attitude. Your spelling and grammar is as shit as your knowledge. Just shut up. The last time you tried to use Google you provided a link that proved I was right.

No, you said fans here were all expats. I guess you can't prove it.

Getting tired of the national sport argument too....
Like it's only an East coast sport.
It's only an East coast population ya dumb arses! 90 percent of our population- our nation- is on the East coast 🙄
Is Canberra, Newcastle, Townsville our nation too ?
Or are the dots not f**king wide enough? 🤦‍♂️
No, we need 1 dot right over the other side.. perfect lol

This is probably the most accurate comparison.

finally we agree lol. If nrl doesn’t leverage off this opportunity it’s got rocks in its head. They should put the pressure on publicly like afl did in tassie. Give us A,B and C and you’ll get a club. If Govt say no then we’ll know who to blame.

how many clubs are avg’ing more than hbf current capacity? We’ve got shark, manly, tiger and dragons playing in real dumps, dolphins in a 10k stadium. games in shthole country town parks, Yet you have a problem with hbf lol?

Which NRL games draw an average view ship of 110k in Perth?

The regular season games I've seen draw about 10k to 15k. That's not too bad considering they're screened at a 6pm Thurs-Sat AWST. We don't know how many watch on Foxtel, unfortunately.

Between Foxtel and Ch9, I'd imagine a Perth-based team would only benefit Foxtel. If the club plays its home games at 6pm Sun and 9.30pm Sat AWST then that limits the amount of free to air coverage they'll get. Sponsors will pay more for a team that's on Ch9 regularly.

3,000 males and 1,000 females playing the game in WA
