As much as the crowds for England vs Tonga have killed any chance of samoa touring next year

investing lol

I’ve provided links which show afl ranks last in many measures In qld

they have fallen for their own bs metric in Auskick numbers reflecting growth

qld is their operation Barbarossa

I’m sure out of the 2.5 million pound gate takings tonga will get paid and RFL will be ok to pay Samoa next year lol

But donkey says they have grown significantly in western brisbane, which is it?

hmmmmm, this is what you can achieve with the right investment.

Already AFL Queensland has recorded record participation numbers, announcing in August more than 68,000 registered players had laced up the boots. These did not include the 35,000 school athletes, with its most junior program AusKick garnering the most growth.

Afl counted Nathan Cleary as a junior

he and his dad found it pretty funny

Keep deathriding any bid other than Perth

your the kiss of death for a Perth nrl bid lmao

conversely any bid you bag gets admitted ahead of Perth and is a major success
No need to death ride nz2, there isn’t a bid of any serious note yet.

Was waiting for it lol

Were you waiting for that too ? Lmao

“It is really disturbing that a professional sporting body would use false statistics to gain access to junior sports grounds,'' said Leichhardt councillor Darcy Byrne, who has campaigned to keep the AFL off Birchgrove Oval”

Come on you’ve got plenty of form in this one lol. Don’t believe the tv deal, dont believe the players, don’t believe the membership numbers. It’s really quite funny.

donkey is telling us afl has grown in western brisbane, no reason rugby league can’t grow in WA. Maybe you just don’t think our game is very good or can be popualr to new areas?

Turns out dividing by four was too generous

you need to divide by eight for the real figure

You’re so funny, a newspaper article says $600mill for png despite everyone involved saying nothings been agreed money wise and you take it as gospel. media report on afl figures and you refuse to believe them. Not bias at all.

Even dane has admitted defeat on png

but seeing you and him tearing a bid to shreds I know it’s a winner
Don't put words in my mouth. I haven't 'admitted defeat' on anything.

Accepting that the NRL is controlled by idiots dumb enough that they might go for such a moronic idea isn't an endorsement of the idea.

It's not a given that PNG will win the 18th license, and it'd be the single biggest mistake in the history of the NRL if they do give it to them. In similar fashion to the Dolphins, most of the dumbarse bogans from the shit parts of NSW and Qld that support this sport won't realise just how big a mistake it was until it's much too late, and it'd likely be a contributing factor to the sport falling into a decline.

The NRL's current position is very similar to the one the ARU was in in the early 00s, even down to the attitude and feeling around the sport, and they seem to be determined to stumble into as many of the same pitfalls as possible.

The thing you're deliberately ignoring is our game doesn't have enough money to fund expansion into fumbleball wastelands. You know that AwFuL generates a lot more revenue than the NRL. You've been telling everyone about it for years in the Media forum.

The disparity has been that way for about 30+ years.

AwFuL can afford to set up school programs across Sydney and Brisbane to get more people playing their game. Shane Richardson was saying their latest strategy is to pay newly built schools in Queensland to have fumbleball posts installed on their fields. They're able to run more school clinics and fund junior clubs because they have money to burn.

We cannot match what AwFuL spends on the game in Queensland and NSW.

Yet you want us to find a way to do so in Perth?

I wonder how they got that wealth . Probably just concentrated on Vic and SA.
