There's a possibility PNG will get more away games on Ch9 because they share the same time zone as Brisbane and Sydney.

I've seen fumbleball grow in Springwood over the last 20 years. It's not as big as rugby league, but it's definitely grown its profile. They've invested heavily in the area.

The Lions@Springwood Social Club uses gaming revenue to fund the Springwood Pumas. A Perth-based NRL club won't have access to this revenue stream because licenced venues in WA aren't allowed to provide their customers with access to gaming machines.

The ARLC isn't going to invest heavily in Perth. Your mate has been whinging about this problem for years. Without investment it'll end up a poor man's version of the Melbourne Storm, with a team that is poorly supported -- like the Force and Glory -- because it can only attract also-rans and second-rate players.

Oh yeah and I know the president of the Springwood AFL and his politician mate Mick De Brenni heavily involved. Both were called out for corruption in the QLD senate and that gravy train has very much stopped. It was all artificial growth paid for by dirty money.
