Even Craig Bellamy can’t coach Justin Olam to stop running in and leaving an overlap, so he has decided to drop him instead because it is just easier.

Adrian lam will be asistant and his son whose a very good half back will be their first signing
25 year old Lachlan Lam who has played 30 games of NRL is neither a "very good" halfbsck nor a recruit worth pissing on in 2027

Fiji side was okay, could have been way better if they had Api and the Saifiti brothers plus the young Penrith winger withdrew.
A few white PNG players running around e.g. Jack De Belin, the Laybutt brothers, then you have indigenous Alex Johnston.
PNG had one huge advantage, Taane Milne was playing for Fiji, surely he is the dumbest rugby league player on the planet.

Football and field hockey are huge in East and North India respectively. Arguably more popular than cricket. Basketball is huge in China. The appetite is there.

Agree with fans, as Indians and Chinese integrate in society pretty well, they will be fans of the popular codes provided the general population follows them at uni / school

Interestingly, rugby (union) is one of the largest sports in Sri Lanka. Had 160k registered players a decade ago.

Shows South Asian populations are open to contact sports if it's marketed right.

Lachlan Lam is "very good" and talking up the Fijian side full of NSW cup players with Taane Milne in the backrow.

Not a product of PNG pathways either. Unless WA can claim Ponga.
Lachie Lam came through the Roosters junior rep system coached at times by his father, played NSW Cup for the Bears when there were no NRL opportunities for him he went over to the English Super League.
I’m finding many players are now going across to the English Super League competition early in their careers if their are no NRL options and then coming back a few years later, Jack Cogger did this with Penrith and now he has a contract with Newcastle whom he played Harold Matt’s, S.G.Ball and Jersey Flegg with.

It isn’t old either, people refer to Nicho Hynes as if he is a rookie, the guy is 27 years, Jack Cogger is 26 years.
As halves get older they get better, like props, Nathan Cleary is only 25 yrs himself, he is still a baby.

More players should take this route to FG, Surely playing regular SL is better development then sitting in NSW or QLD Cup

Everybody thought all of the New Zealand players would flock to play for the Warriors, that never happened, most NZ players are set up in Aust, most were born over here.
2023 was the Warriors most successful year, especially off the field, and they didn’t even make the Grand Final, I really hope that they can keep this momentum going.

Sorry if I’ve misunderstood but are you talking about the Kiwis? If so none of their squad for the Pacific Championships were born outside of NZ.
