If it was a Sydney stadium the Perth dead fans would be mocking it

it’s on par with Campbelltown
Your trying to argue that Barlow Park is sufficient for NRL?

How do you rationalise that?

Surely it's not just because your a troll who knows f**k all about RL in Qld?

Perth needs to build a quality rectangular stadium if it wants to attract more premium football events. There's nothing more amateurish than seeing 20-30m of open grass between the sidelines and the spectators. It kills the atmosphere.
Why didn't the Dolphins have to do that then?

There ground is sub standard at best

There's nothing wrong with HBF stadium, it will do to get a franchise licence, we've let in the dolphins in with a 12k stadium, so thats just being disgenious,
Now we even have a possible Pasifika team using both Santos Stadium and Barlow park, among other Island parks, that will still make HBF seem like the taj mahal, so im not sure why theres a whohah about how bad the perth stadium is, could it be better maybe in future it can be another hunter or WIN stadium or even AAMI, but it doesn't need any work now to e able to host RL fixtures
Lang park says hello

if Perth were playing most of their games at optus and three games at the dump it would be the same

it’s a dated stadium with a mismatch of stands and a standing terrace (hahahhaha)

but sure Perth has a stadium on par with a third world country

Whats that say about perth then, they wouldn't even consider a licence in a non passionate state, with a semi decent stadium, and an option for the larger optus stadium... basically they are just not impressed with the cattle
Who says they're not considering Perth?

It's mind boggling that a resource rich state like WA has such an outdated stadium for the international football codes.

A few years ago the Perth media mocked the Gabba. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

Its mind boggling you cant understand why the WA govt spent $1.2bill building Optus stadium for large sporting events and $150mill on HBF for small to mid sporting events.

The Western Force were drawing an average of 27k at Subiaco, FFS!

The Reds only drew 13,390 in their best season.

Yet you reckon PRS should oy be upgraded when Perth gets an NRL club?

Delusional and biased nonsense.

Queensland Gov redeveloped Carrara for the Suns. Its crowds are woeful.

by 2009 Force only had 3 games that bettered hbf park capacity, which they moved to in 2010. Subi location better suited unions western suburb set, hence the bigger crowds in a worse stadium there.

I reckon if NRL has any brains and is serious about a perth license they should be using the opportunity to get HBF park further upgraded. It can only be a benefit to rugby league. If no NRL club I dont want Govt wasting our money on stadium thats not needed. We have a stunningly good large billion $ stadium for big events and HBF is fine for where union and soccer is now, and the occasional NRL game.

If anything itd be better to leave HBF park as is for next ten to twenty years and then build a new 30-40k stadium next to Optus rather than keep spending on HBF.

So the QLD government committed to updating a stadium, once the AFL granted them a new license.

Imagine that....

Its incredible how many times you end up arguing against your point.

Yeah that's generally the way it works. Except for WA where the govt has to spend all the money, and then once it's upgraded they will be considered. I wonder why the same is not required of PNG/Cairns where 2 new stadiums are required?

Rectangular codes aren’t important in wa

they’ve had two rectangular codes for decades and the ground is a dump whilst no expense was spared for the fumblers

what does it say about our code that we would listen to a govt which puts afl first and daylight second

playing at optus doesn’t work either it’s far too big and an oval the atmosphere will be awful for nrl games

even Melbourne got it right with aami park that’s what’s needed

Perth has a low rank in the Australian RL pyramid.

RL has a low rank in Perth's sporting landscape.

Small to mid sporting events

and that’s coming out of Perth dead’s mouth
a 20k stadium caters to small to mid sports events. NRL has a crowd avg under 20k. If we need a bigger stadium Optus is there for that.

But a pointless debate as we dont know if theres plans to extend it, we dont know if Perth is getting an NRl team to justify extending it and we dont know the timeframes of either. It took Sydney 100 years to get two decent rectangular stadiums lol

You do know they play sell out soccer, rugby league and union events at our amazing $1.2bill stadium dont you lol?

Sure spend $300mill for two clubs that draw 10k on a good day. That'd be a great use of tax payer money!
