I wouldn’t be so definitive if I were you. I hope they don’t go to PNG and pick both Brisbane 3 and Perth as well as NZ 2 but who knows
I don't mind the thought of PNG but it needs a lot of time and investment. Id have them as team 20, no sooner than 5 years time. At best.

If the Dolphins continue to lack ambition and be firmly mid tier crowd and performance wise, I'd say the receny bias will disappear quickly and Bri3 will die off.
Small time BRL thinking won't cut it in the NRL. They'll end up as qlds Wests tigers, this year will be another low placing.

That comment was in regards to comp structure, not location of new clubs. I doubt Australian tv is falling over itself at the prospect of PNg and nz2 clubs joining the comp. Warriors are one of the lowest rated clubs on Australian tv.
What makes you think Ch9 would want a team in Perth?

The club wouldn't be able to host a game on Thursday or Friday night without taking a hit on gate receipts.

The "new time slot" you've been talking up offers nothing to Ch9.

Perth Red said Perth was the favourite for the 17th licence. Then he said they were going to be the 18th team.

Now they're guaranteed to get the 19th licence?

He's now championing Christchurch for the 20th licence, despite arguing for months that it has no money, offers no value to Australian broadcasters and represents a small market.

He makes it up as he goes along.

IDK about being as bad as the Tigers, but they could save themselves a lot of hurt in the long run if they address some of their issues now instead of waiting for them to fester.

The Dolphins problem is obvious; too many old boys with way too much say. f**king them off back where they belong and bringing in hardened pros with solid track records would address most of the Dolphins major problems pretty quickly I imagine.

Just forcing them to play all their home games out of Suncorp and to rework their brand into something halfway workable would go a fair way to fixing a lot of their larger issues.
