Exactly. The EXISTING joint ventures don't exactly fill me with confidence that model will succeed with Perth/Norths.. and in fact make me pretty sure Perth would be better off on their own.

Perth and Brisbane #3 are definite additions, so it's the 3rd slot to get to 20 that's a real contest.

Question then is, "What are the logical candidates for that 20th spot?"

[Edit] IMO, NZ 2 & Adelaide are obviously two.. as is another Qld club *if* the NRL are in a conservative mindset.

Keep in mind though that would be a 6th Qld club after Broncos, Cowboys, Titans, Dolphins & Brisbane 3.

Down the list you could see other options considered I guess (maybe Pacific Islands?), but surely those 3 would be frontrunners.

Why are u talking location?! If ur determined on a particular city & all u got are dud bids, then expansion will fail like titans etc

Jets have strong local following, however a large part would be from post NRL days
