It’s got that sht s in the middle of it

Balmain would never defile their jerseys with that filth
na I meant colour. too many jerseys look similar. i wish clubs would just stick to traditional jerseys.
canberra last night, all green. saints do it well just like the ol days.
marketing sucks. its ok to buy different stuff but play in something thats kids can connect with all their lives

Good ‘ol Manly, the parasite that keeps on sucking the life out of opposition clubs.
The former silvertails of the competition, Arko just kept on giving and giving and giving to his precious Sea Eagles.
Even as a Bears fan it is hard to hate on Manly these days with the Trbojevics there.
It’s not like the Bears didn’t have their chances. No one made them fall apart when it mattered multiple times throughout the 90s, that was just the Bears being the Bears.
im still imagining what would have happened if the Bears didn’t support the inclusion of Manly in 1947.
You probably would have had the Northern Beaches feeding into the Bears with there only being one Northern Sydney team in the comp. Ie the arrangement that, IMO with either the Bears or Manly (or the joint venture if it worked) at the top, makes the most sense if there’s only going to be one first grade team in Sydney’s north.

Wish the Bears had that shit in the middle of their jersey in ‘97, wouldn’t be going through all of this now if they did.
Would be playing out of this Stadium, and all the Central Coast lads would be carving up opposition teams.
Instead we are now stuck with the all conquering Central Coast Mariners and the round ball game.

Giving up part of their area, although noble at the time, turned out to be their biggest mistake.

Doing what was right by the sport, instead of what was right by them bite them in the arse.

So for the Perth people on here, below are the line ups for both of today’s NSW Cup teams, the Newtown Jets v the North Sydney Bears.
The ticks show the Shark contracted players to Melbournes contracted players, North Sydney are actually fielding a full Bears side, no Storm players. I think that the Jets only have three contracted players taking the field, to even suggest that this could be Perths future pathways club is ridiculous, Perth would be better off going it alone than with the Jets.
Remember they have no NRL pathways: no Harold Matt’s, no S.G.Ball, no Jersey Flegg (men’s), no Lisa Faola, no Tarsha Gale, no Harvey Norman (women’s).

Other option after super league was kicking manly out and norths and central coast each having their own stand alone teams

never would’ve happened bc of Arko but north’s has a train station, easy to get too for away fans and north shore way bigger and richer than manly

even if the northern beaches never came over to the bears it’s like Cronulla a small geographically isolated peninsula which has minimal value for rugby league

Instead of going to bed with Manly, Norths should've fought like Souths by taking it to the courts.

A new NRL club can create its own pathways, the Bears aren't the only option here.

True but it is very costly, there are reasons why clubs like Cronulla (Newtown Jets) and Manly (Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles) don’t have their own NSW Cup teams.
Not to mention also flying that team across from WA, but okay.
The Roosters only just started their own NSW Cup team in 2023, both South Sydney (Bears) and Parramatta (Wentworthville) decided to go it alone a few years earlier.
