In terms of sessions won - what Waugh & Buchanan used to go on about when we were half decent, we haven't been too bad. A couple of disastrous periods, namely the arvo when Bell & Broad put on a squillion and when we lost 5 for f**k all.

It's not all bad news for the rest of the series. We'll be competitive in each test I think.

Still not good enough for those of us used to the glory days, but not as much doom and gloom as when they were talking up Steady Eddie for vice captain.

That I can agree with. Those two moments are where we let ourselves down.

Based on the general mood before the test people expected England to do us by an innings and 400 runs or something

The chase was always about 50 odd to many, we put up a good fight which is something we couldn't say in India.

Don't try and sugarcoat it.... Our top order were a disgrace in this test. We were 1-110. We should have pissed it in with ease. If we had even a single class innings by anyone in the top 6 there wouldn't have been a problem.

Our bowlers set us very easy tasks in both innings, but if not for our lower order we'd have lost this test by 200 runs

Chasing over 300 in a test match 4th innings is easy?

Im sure that's why it's been done so many times before in the history of the game. If they somehow jag this it'll be the 8th highest run chase ever.

ahhh here comes the test, Will Haddin remain interested now that he's got a 50?

Great little knock from Haddin, he's done really well there.

When you look at 50 runs being the difference, it's really Cowan that's cost us the match. Hell even Sunshine chipped in with a handsome 50-odd in the 2nd dig.
