It took SA a 4-1 series win to overtake Australia and NZ are down in 4th spot so I'd say it's unlikely that NZ would overtake them even if they won 5-0. Would close the gap considerably though.

Mute arguement really as there's no chance in hell of Australia losing 8 games in a row. Although NZ will should feel a bit better with Ryder hopefully back for the next game and Tait to have his mandatory nap between games.

Sadly, because it went to the final ball, I can see them making excuses again. "It was a tough pitch, both sides struggles to score, the batsmen deserve another chance".....

With the shambles of the batting I would not put it past them
