Last chance salon for Johnson

He will be picked for Perth

and we are touring south Africa after our summer, remember the great spell Notch did over there a few years , selectors have a great memory for isolated things like that

Can't wait for Watson plumb LBW, 'my dog just got run over' face followed immediately by a review.

It's gonna be a summer of fail.

I haven't really been following the injuries much recently.. I can only assume Pattinson and Starc are both unfit to play? Any ETA on when they'll be back?

Lyon will go better scissor hands missing all of his chances. Hope Bailey does well. Only player in the team who isn't a pea heart. Faulkner looks like he could be ready to join the group with Bailey as well.

Only player who isn't a pea-heart?

Michael Clarke has scored 10 centuries in 2 years - 3 of them doubles, 1 of them a triple.

People are so keen to whinge and bag him out. So what if he is a merkin. He scores runs. Unlike the order around him which continues to crumble.

FMD.

In the line up - if you're talking about batting - 8-11 have probably scored more runs - except for Clarke - than most of the bozos in the line up from 1-6. If you're saying Siddle is a pea-heart...you mustn't fking watch Australian test cricket. In fact, I dare you to tell him to his face.

I know plenty of people who hate / loathe their 'team leader/boss' but still are professional enough to pull together as a team. Some of these well paid merkin batsmen need to do the same. But don't dare bag some of the bowlers stocks who have carried this f**king team with bat, ball and in the field.

Theres only 2 possible results for the Brisbane test

A draw

or Australia wins

The closest anyone came to beating Australia in 50 years at the Gabba was New Zealand when Steve Waugh declared twice, and Chris Cairns and Nathan Astle couldnt get NZ over the line chasing 260 off 50 or something overs

Due to Brisbane's climate, if matches dont end in day 4, its heavily rain effected, not many full five day test matches

last ashes test in Brisbane was a draw, we were on top 220 lead after 1st dig.
Poms scored 1/550 odd in their 2nd dig to fizzle out to a draw

Mitch Johnson 0/172 for the match
It was Doherty's test debut
Marcus North in the middle order
Cook scored 67 and 235no

rain forecast for 3 of the first 4 days of the test match at the moment

Knowing brisbane though, it will only rain first thing in the morning and at 6pm in the evening

In a conversation with someone in Brisbane, they told me:"it doesnt rain in brisbane that much"

Well we've had bugger all rain for the last couple of months, its just started raining every day for the last couple of weeks which is good (for the lawn at least).

The entire Gabba outfield was relaid two months ago so it should look absolutely schmick.
