Hasn't done too much right either if we are brutally honest. (ie has basically the same average and stats as Hauritz at test level)

Lyon has had a couple of dream tests to bowl out sides (time, conditions, runs all on our side) but failed miserably. He ain't no Warne this is true, but has a fast darts approach which against mentally good sides just aint gonna cut it. I think this is why someone like Ahmed has been fast tracked, is seen as someone that can go through a side when conditions suit .

And before we get the tissues out and say Ahmed doesn't deserve the baggy green, did we all think Lyon deserved it?, Hauritz? Beer?, Doherty?, White?

as much as I didnt like seeing the sight of right handers hitting Nathan Lyon onto Miller St in North Sydney in the Ryobi Cup, he is the only option Australia has as a spinner

So once again the play Watson as just as a batsman routine, if he isn't fit enough to bowl how can he be 100% to bat?? I am so over the clueless spastics who continually f**k up the national side.

They were fapping over Shitchell taking two for 74 at nearly 5 rpo while he was totally out bowled by Berendorff and Hogan. But but no Shitchell will be straight in even though his red ball form is atrocious the last few years. The Poms will win out here again this summer while off the field we will continually shoot ourselves in the foot.

Jonny Bairstow may be in line for an unexpected turn as England's Ashes wicketkeeper after scans revealed Matt Prior had suffered a left calf tear during the Australia A match in Hobart and is ruled out of the final warm-up match against an Invitational XI in Sydney.

Prior's diagnosis leaves him in genuine doubt for the first Test in Brisbane, heaping pressure on Bairstow to step in for the position after it appeared he had only a reservist's role in the team director Andy Flower's plans for the series. Bairstow made numerous starts in England at No. 6 but was dropped for the final match at the Oval and arrived down under as the back-up gloveman.
