I want Henriques penned into the #6 slot for the next decade.

If he can bat like this on this pitch he can bat anywhere. Kid can bat, handy bowler. We have ourselves someone tailor made for the #6 position.

I'd hold fire on that till we see him do it for a couple of years.

After one test, Shaun Marsh and Marcus North looked like world beaters. Even after 3 tests, Marsh had 141, 81 and 44, and North 117, 38 and 125. Where are they now?

I think we need Steve Smith.. as much as it pains me to say, he's clearly a better option than Shitwell.

1) Warner
2) Watson
3) Hughes
4) Clarke
5) Smith
6) Henriques
7) Wade
8) Siddle
9) Pattinson
10) Doherty
11) Lyon

Doherty and Lyon won't trouble India much...

It's a difficult place to play, even your great sides struggled there - I think what you fail to realise sometimes is that Australia is a very difficult place for touring teams to play too... home advantage is very real

The 1st innings was his first ever test bat in India. The 2nd innings he got a vicious ball in the first over he faced.

To say he can't bat after 1 poor innings and 1 bit of bad luck is ridiculous. How short are peoples memories. In our summer he was the best Australian batsman not named Michael.

you forgot to mention he was out the ball before as well ct at leg slip and given not out

he is not a test no 3, particularly in India

I agree. TBH I think the criticisms of Starc and Henriques etc on this particular wicket have been harsh.

Our two biggest problems atm are a complete lack of spinning depth and idiotic selectors.

In-fact, look at this table:

Bowler M Wkts Avg Best
Steve O'Keefe 7 17 26.76 4-47
Nathan Hauritz 5 13 34.07 5-135
Ashton Agar 3 12 28.33 3-47
Adam Zampa 3 10 23.90 3-17
Michael Beer 4 8 46.37 3-88
Nathan Lyon 5 7 71.42 2-42
Glenn Maxwell 3 7 25.42 4-42
Xavier Doherty 4 2 80.00 1-15
Steve Smith 5 1 71.00 1-16

We have four 'spinners' on this tour including the three worst performed of the current domestic season. That's f**king genius isn't it? Why bother with form when you can pick three blokes averaging 71, 80 and 71 this year ...

SOS SOK!!!!!

Henriques has done wonders here, with some support Australia could have ended up 150-200 ahead.
He should have been at #6 batting in tandem with Clarke, too bad the selectors seem to think Wade is up to international grade.

Its still not over, Lyon knows how to hang around and if they sneak in an extra 100 somehow anything can happen.

If we get that extra 100, and Lyon doesn't bowl, then who knows????

Odds of it happening 100000000000000000000000000000-1

Yeah forgot to mention that they can't even think about bowling Lyon.

Open with Clarke and Pattinson with Siddle as change up, Starc an experimental over or two just in case its his "good day".
Wishful thinking.
