Thought Haddin did alright, saved a couple of really tough ones. I didn't need any more reason to dislike Michael Clarke so I'll leave it alone

Went slightly to his right hand side. Clarke always drops slips catches to his right. Could have used Copes in the slips.

alot of nervous debutants out there yesterday, hopefully they settle a bit better today

Lyon actually looked OK for a change

I wouldn't put too much emphasis on our debutants bowling yesterday

we all wanted change and we got it

anyone remember Warnie's debut, he was lucky to get another game

patience people

Was nice of our batsmen to give thier wickets to you guys like that, I just hope our guys nuckle down for another couple of sessions and get 300 on the board.

That would be nice, but Vettori/Brownlie were going well when the break came and now they have to start again.

How often do teams start the day 5-6 down with an established partnership just for an early wicket to go and then the tail to fold before lunch? Considering how we threw it all away before lunch on day one I'd be happy to get anything over 220.

Biggest problem I have is f**king Taylor... that was (yet again) one of the more brainless dismissals I've seen. Ryder's wasn't far off (i.e., one being just before lunch, one just after, but both being needlessly aggressive and clearly careless) Taylor's problem is he's the f**king captain, how can he look Ryder, or Guptill, and to a lesser extent McCullum in the eye and say that wasn't good enough... when his dismissal was worse... and his dismissals almost always are worse!!!

Anyway... just disappointing really, and the main reason Vetorri should have stayed on as test captain... perhaps for as long as it takes until Williamson is ready

nice fighting 50 by Vetorri

This on cricinfo
"Stat alert from Andy Zalztman, the sultan of Stats. "Test batting averages since 1 Jan 2007: Ponting 39.4; Vettori 40.0. Vettori edges it in wickets taken as well." :D

Yes I agree. 4 of the 5 dismissals were shocking to watch. It really was typical NZ batting at its finest.
