NZ has talent in their top 6. If they actually use their head, and any sort of intelligence was missing in their first dig, it might not be so easy.

I still think we'll win, but in day 5 not day 4, and I think they'll put up a bit of fight and not just collapse in the first session.

At least that's what I'm hoping for. Our kids need to be pushed, giving them easy runs and wickets won't help in terms of preparation for India.

Dude watch me get proven right.

Kiwis to bat well and get a 200 run lead.

Hughes and Warner to blast away and get the 200 in about 30 overs. One of those two to get a century.

how is that prediction going?

YES! We passed Australia's score (in South Africa). Boom boom boom, New Zealand's on the move (not really...)

Agreed. Taylor and Williamson batted like they'd just woken up off a hard night on the town.

Yes their shots were awful. Absolutely no discipline outside the off stump. Even Guptill could have played that short ball a lot better tbh.

Oh and thank you Mitchell Starc for letting us score some runs.

Pattinson showing why he's so highly rated, was dissaponted with him first innings but boy he's bowled well here

This is why our fast bowling stocks are looking good going forwards, we've seen Patto and Cummins, Hazlewood the other one who could be an absolute gem. These sort of bowlers keep improving we'll be very competitive again

Siddle has also bowled pretty well this match, much better than expected. Bowling with a much better length. If he can maintain that over a series of test matches he'll be a reasonable bowler (before eventually being usurped by Hazlewood, absolute gun).

 Kiwis are keen to get to Tassie by the looks, fat ass Ryder gone to a dumb shot.

Nice bowling change by Clarkey though.

Yeah dumb shot but thought he was the kiwis only hope. Vettori to the rescue? Can't remember him being in the habit of putting together back to back good batting performances though...

I knew this was going to happen. With all of the talk (in the NZ media) about how the Aussies were as vulnerable as ever, they totally forgot to take into account that while Australia aren't as good as they have been, New Zealand are as bad as they've ever been.

Typically, Ross Taylor is leading the way in underachievement.

The only hope of rescue is rain. Lots of it, and quickly

Pattinson looks like he could be a very good bowler in the future, Siddle has bowled quite well today as well. Starc wasn't much chop but that was expected given he is left handed and his name is mitchell. Love how Lyon throws it up.

they give New Zealand a much needed something, but they make the batting order look odd with some real weaknesses coming in before them

The frustrating thing for a Kiwi would be that this clearly isnt the worst lineup they've had. They no longer have the Redmonds, How's and Fulton that were genuinely terrible players. Ryder and Taylor in particular are pretty talented batsmen, but need to get their mindset sorted out before they become the best batsmen they can be.

Brownlie is looking pretty good as is Vettori. I wonder if Williamson should be coming in down the order though, 21 year old batting at three is a lot of pressure and whilst he's very talented he has looked edgy this test.
