Not to mention the pitch is dead. Slow and no green.

It's going to be difficult outside new ball times to take wickets, as we've seen so far, with quick bowlers. Need the pitches to break up a bit and spinners to have some effect.

I didn't say the quicks weren't good.

I said our attack lacks variation.

In short, our quicks got f**k all swing in ideal swing bowling conditions, or movememnt off the seam. This made them easier to defend.

Lyon was mostly rubbish, SOK got nothing out of the deck.

I understand that you are adamant your opinion is right (whether it is or isn't) and that you aren't interested in a open minded discussion, so I'll leave it at that.

lol

ill leave it at that too

I think reverse swing will be a factor here. And Pakistan are very good at it with one of the true masters as their coach.

It's one component of the game we are not great at.

SOK is not a big spinner of the ball, he relies on his variation much like Harry Potter used to

Don't know why the commentators going on about Misbah getting hit all the time as if its really concerning him. Don't wanna give him the kiss of death but he seems pretty comfortable out there.

Australia have just gotta keep believing as the Pakis have a very long tail.

Having a look at the Pakistan attack gives me a fair bit of optimism, of the two bowlers who have played test cricket the lowest average is 44 after 5 tests. If Warner, Clarke and smith settle in they will score big and it should still be decent to bat on tomorrow.

Pak 5/340, way on top for mine

Looks like we will be in the field for best part of 2 days.
then ask our bats to bat for best part of 2 days with a 2-2.5 thereabouts run rate

I don't know , doesn't sound like something Australia is renown for batting 2nd, not of recent memory

Even I'd be scoring runs with the amount of movement the Aussies are getting with the ball at the moment.

Australin batting in recent years hasnt exactly proven itself to be reliable on slow, crumbling pitches

Lyon is starting to get hammered. 36 overs, 0/144. And now he's not even economical. Not good enough.

What worries me is it took real old fashioned test batting from them to get to this stage. I don't know if our batsmen are capable of that.

Young Wicketkeeper's 100 off 80 balls. Turned a dicey situation into one where Pakistan should at the very least will draw the game.
