Maybe they dont think Hilfenhaus is ready yet, maybe they think his injury is worse than first thought and after some bowlers who kept getting reinjured for the last 18 months trying to push themselves too hard to get back for certain tests and are now about to retire, they may want to take it safe with Hilfy and make sure he is right for Bellerive where he might be effective

Or they have decided that Siddle is worth the risk due to his superior average, economy rate and more wickets in 2009 than Hilfenhaus, added in with Hilfenhaus appalling FC record at the MCG and its not worth the gamble, may not want him to play in Sydney with his average of 81 there athen again they nd thats against a team thats been poor for years :lol:

Pup will do fine, he was born to lead the Aussie team. I am sick to death of the Katich love he doesn't convert starts he doesn't deserve the captaincy.

Yeah Katich is terrible, only averaged 52 since his recall with 6 centuries. As for not converting starts, a watson fan shouldnt be making jibes about other player in that regard.

Would love to see the Katfish as captain, bit of a hard bastard is what the team needs at the moment.


Oh and hilfenhaus tes average is 30.58 compared 31.34 for siddle. Since the start of the ashes it is 24.96 compared to 36

AS FAST bowler Ben Hilfenhaus was ruled out for the summer, Australia was warned it could be heading towards a day where it may have to consider resting players from Test cricket.
