Siddle has shitloads of natural ability, but has the intellect of a union prop. Dumb as a bagfull of hammers.

Every over by every bowler looks as though theres no plan, just running on and trying to bowl as fast as they can.

Its utterly stupid

They will bat until tea time I'd say and have 450+ on the board. Of course if they don't do what Fappell suggests their tactics are shit and not like the good old days of the 70s.
When everyone played for a draw first.

if Dale and Vernon open the bowling, it might be over before Morne gets a chance to come in

Only need ten balls to dismiss a batting lineup

Because the aussie quicks just come in trying to bowl fast, they are unable to mount pressure & take quick wickets. Our bowling line up is a far greater concern than our batting.

I've more confidence in our batsmen scoring 500 runs in an innings than in our bowlers to take 20 wickets in a test

I'd say Morne can count himself lucky that JP got injured, now at least he's 5th choice behind The Stain, The V, The New Guy and Porky.

Australia need a "punching bag token opponent" to easily cave in to Australia's macho head games

Only a useless team like the New Zealand test cricket team would chase all the wide deliveries outside offstump get 320 - which is the highest score NZ test cricket can garner and then Australia looks shit hot when they come out to bat against New Zealand's medium pacers

Other token opponents which Australia can look good against

Sri Lanka
The West Indies
when team India cant get their shit together

Did we look that good against the Kiwis? Id say we looked decidedly average last summer.

However, I think its a bit early to write the summer and the team off after 1.5 days of cricket.

Sigh. Highlight from 2002 makes me sad. The faces that were shown. Mcgrath, Gilchrist, Hayden, Waugh...

Porky will have tucked into the sausage rolls and vanilla slices at tea, he'd be better off getting to 200 before he gorges himself.

"Its just cricket" that Australia was eventually challenged by 'good' teams and brought back to the field, it seemed for a while that three day test matches, innings victories, golfing and cigars were a given.

^ That was UNTIL teams realised they needed to do conditioning/ preparation/ training.
but more importantly "Heavy designer bats" that Matt Hayden, Gilchrist used to have. If Australia was to have its right of way they would not allow anyone else to have what they had to play at their level.

However with regards to 'cricket': Even though Australia had some "ordinary" performances last summer in the ODIs, they still managed to win the tri nations "tournament"

They were smashed all around Australia by Sri Lanka a few times last summer, but they got a sneaky victory in the last deciding ODI last summer

You would have thought South Africa would be the ideal country to play League, a rough and tumble country like that, and the Saffers love it rough there too

Imagine if you get guys like Steyn and Philander going toe to toe against Sam Thaiday

Instead they choose to play Union *unimpressed*
