I love the spin of referring to same style of batsmen as accumulator when it suits and plodder when it doesn't

He scored worse than Trott...you should have seen the derp lol:lol: But Phil 'I want to give him head" Hughes does it and it is "accumulating":lol:

Plodding to the ignorant eye might look like accumulating but it is not the same. A plodder is someone with no 5th gear. Someone who always bats slowly nevermind the moment or the conditions of the game. An accumulator is someone who has the ability to steadily accumulate when the time is right (Hughes in the 1st innings) and the ability to go on the front foot when necessary (Hughes' 88 n.o. againt NZ in 2011 and 160 against SA in 2009).

Trott is a limited batsman. Hughes is an extremely talented and gifted batsman with the ability to dominate the attack as well as the ability to be patient and bat for long periods.

On topic, the only concern I have tomorrow is Lyon. If he gives us nothing I think it'll be too much load on our quicks. If he does some damage for once we'll be right.

If I was into that there would be plenty of oppurtunities in Hughesys brilliant 1st innings but I don't do that sort of thing because i'm not some kind of sick freak who is aroused by brilliant sporting performances (unless its womens beach volleyball).

Swann 206 wickets 48 tests 29 avg
Herath 158 wickets 40 test 31.7 avg(including 80+ in 2012)
Ajmal 122 wickets 23 tests. 27 avg

Going by that Ajmal > Swann > Herath

Going by 2012 performances Herath 55 in 9 > Swann 59 in 14 > Ajmal 39 in 6.
why is Swann's 59 in 14 better than Ajmal's 39 in 6? 59 in 14 is an average of 4.2 wickets a match, 39 in 6 is an average of 6.5 wickets a match

I can't believe I'm not in the top ten. What is this? I demand a recount:crazy:

First is through out their careers, Ajmal has more than half of Swann's wickets yes but he has also played more then half the tests.

Second is in 2012, Herath has 4 less wickets in 5 less tests.

Edit: just read what you mean, sorry. I have said Ajmal was better, I made a mistake.

I understood what you were saying, I was just questioning what you were saying about 2012 based on the 2012 numbers
