That's exactly why I like Starc.

Hasn't bowled his best this match - certainly not in the first innings - but he bowls some cracking deliveries and gets the movement that Johnson struggles to find.

Plus he is only young. Will only get better over time.

Ajmal is the best spinner in the world IMO. After that, based on 2012 form, you'd have to go with Herath.

But we're very lucky to have arguably two of the top four spinners in world cricket with Swanny and Monty.

Swann is a fantastic off-spin bowler. He's also a fine lower order batsman and a world class close-in catcher. So his value is in his all-round ability. Great cricketer. Funny mofo as well.

A couple of forgotten Sri Lankan players:

Chamara Silva - Dilshan clone

Kapugedera

Thirimanne?

Upul Tharanga?

The test team obviously wants to hold on to Sangas, Thilan, Mahela and Dilshan for batting, but where are those guys?

Yeah, even as an Aussie I was pleased to see Monty do well on the current tour of India.

Unlucky not to have played more Tests than he has the past few years, but as you say you've got Swann so not a real lot of chances to play two spinners I guess.

Silva was quite old, might be retired. Tharanga was tried but their opener at the moment looks good. Not sure on the other two, Thirimanne would be in the ODI's.

Can you gentlemen stop quoting that geniused merkins posts? Bunniesgimp is a f**king knob rider who has about as much cricket knowledge as a Norwegian Sea Slug.
