Smiffy will do well. At home he plays tennis strokes on roads, but he plays well in the subcontinental conditions. Great adapter.

So...Smith walks off, thinking he is out, and the video shows he was not out - he gets a reprieve.

Are we happy with that?

Tbh, I love Smith, but if he walks, he's out, imo.

Yep. I don't know why he was walking. Says more about their mindset on their confidence to bat on these wickets. Warners approach therefore is probably a good one.

His foot slid onto it's side after the bails came off and was out of the crease, so he would have looked back and seen that and thought "well, shit".

Looks like a bunch of blokes who haven't played cricket for 6 months.

Yep. Losing Haze didn't help. Neither does the pitch. Not the kind of wicket we would have been looking forward to after a long layoff, we're rubbish on tracks like this at the best of times.

What was the excuse in India? Too much cricket in 6 months

Why on earth do we need an excuse for India?

Umpires have TV referrals etc these days. Especially when your teams on its knees and you are it's lynchpin, I would take my chances rather than walk.
