Cook actually getting proactive with his captaincy, really important session this one another wicket and England can put some real pressure on India.

India need to bat a good 2 sessions today, try and get as many over 400 as possible, hopefully Jadeja can get some runs, I think he is the x-factor for India this series

Poms will toll away, look to get them out for under 350

Anyones test really

India have far superior spin options and as this pitches decays they will come into the game big time. If India can put 350+ on the board they will go along way to winning this test. Watching Moen Ali bowl last night he did not look too bad just needs some more support from his captain.

Atrocious pitch. Given Trent Bridge is normally a seamers paradise you have to wonder how much the BCCI had to do with it.

How can India continue to pick Ishant Sharma? I tip a draw, unless Broad has one of his wonder spells.

Its possible with Broad I think his average at Trent Bridge is about 22 and 3 years ago against India he took 6/46.
His wickets seem to come in clumps.

If Murali Vijay and Dhoni look comfortable, then the BCCI had lots to do with it.

Surely Prior is at the very very very end of his rope.

He's never been as great as he's been made out to be, like many of his overrated colleagues in the last few years. At least he's stuck around though.

India 4/300

fun fact

Last time India were in England , losing 4-0
not once did they pass 300 in an innings

Lunch DAY 2

India in control 5/342

Jadeja 24*
Dhoni 81*
Vijay 146

Priors dropped catch was crucial in the 3rd over of the day. India potentially could have been all out by now

I said it before and ill say it again

Getting run out in test cricket should be legislated as a criminal offence, particularly in a first innings
