Dhoni gets dropped cold and is gone soon after anyway.
As usual he pretty much blows overseas

I really don't get the fuss with him as a test match batsman, there are way better keeper batsmen.

Pretty harsh there. Got 82 in the first innings

What a boring game played by two dull teams played on a boring pitch.

No wonder test cricket is struggling.

Averages 38 with the bat in test cricket, 45 in india

So overseas doing nothing special as a batsman, (since now he is batting in the top 6), 82 is a good start this series though.

Poms have brought in spin demon Kerrigan for the next test at lords, another dead deck where tailenders can score mammoth runs?

How on earth was Boovie Kumar not man of the match? Two 50s and a 5-fer. Maybe they felt bad for Anderson - who only took 4 wickets in twice the number of overs - after he cried in the last test.

Incidentally it's starting to become clear that the utter shitness of the wicket, and indeed all of the wickets they're expecting this series, is not the work of the BCCI but instead that of the ECB. The 'staging fees' the ECB charge the counties to host test matches have gotten so out of control now that unless they more or less sell out all 5 days of a test, the county loses money on the game. Really sensible way to ensure the health of the national team.

A boring end to a woeful pitch.
Says something when 2 number 11s make 50s, 2 teams make 450 plus in first dig and one team nearly makes 400 in second dig.

lmao I reckon.

Overall a dead and very 'Indian' test match.
Only three innings got completed, each well over the 100 over mark.

Any England pitch where Anderson helps himself to 81 and Murali Vijay looks comfortable in means plenty of bad signs.

Reminds me of the Indian tour of NZ some years ago, 2009/10 I think it was.
The pitches were flat and useless and the matches meandered on aimlessly, it was obvious BCCI influence.
