Cook allowed the last pair to put on over 100, and then got rolled for 5.

 I'm sure it's all Warnies fault.

That is poor cricket by Cook and his bowlers. You don't let a last pair of tailenders add another 111 runs to the total after taking the advantage of picking up 4 wickets for 2 runs. India should have been bowled out 90 - 100 runs cheaper.
England have a habit of allowing last wicket stands linger on. Agar last year and a few years ago Tino Best made 95.
They are not ruthless enough nor good enough at the moment.

Nice to see the Cricinfo page acknowledging the atrocious tailor-made pitch.
Would be hilarious if England get bowled out twice and lose.

good, better, best player

Cook's decline in all regards has been truly spectacular...

As has Aussie love for Kiwi Ben Stokes... the guy is ok, seriously though, a couple of good performances against Australia don't mean as much as you all want to believe - you must hold Lou Vincent in high esteem too then?

Geez Bell gets out some stupid ways.
The amount of talent he has and the fact he would be one of the most technical gifted batsmen playing the game today. Some of the ways he loses his wicket is mind boggling.

I think if India pick up the last wicket early they should have a lead of about 100 and by close to stumps about 350 on the board.
Depending of how the match is going India would be a good chance of declaring before stumps to expose Cook again and maybe pick up a few late wickets. England could be 3 or 4 down for 30 odd runs by stumps.

Cook is finished, as soon as he starting lashing out at Warne you knew his goose was cooked.

Having a break was his only chance, Root and Balance are good young players but are carry thing the senior ones. We really did a number on them out here :)

I'm not getting the Stokes love either. He stood out like a pillar amongst the rubble that was his Ashes team mates, but he doesn't look like anything that special to me.
