I miss the old days where we'd still make 200-220 during our worst batting performances. These days we make 47's and 60's.

I am no pitch expert but didnt they change the clay that is used in Perth. Either way that pitch is dead in a few years anyway so who gives a f**k.

They did and at the time claimed it was supposed to get the WACA wicket back to it's fast and bouncy best but I'd chalk the project up as a massive fail.

Couldnt a future Perth ground have a drop in being prepared of the stuff they used to make the WACA out of and just before the game they bake the f**k out of it using heat lamps or something to make it rock hard ?

The plan for the new Perth Stadium being built over at Burswood is grow the pitch in the middle of the Gloucester Park (Trots track to unintiated) across the road from the WACA and move it to the stadium when Cricket season starts.

We might find out how that works in 2017 as the stadium is well ahead of schedule and the opening event is looking like the Ashes Test in Perth next year.
