I'm a New Zealander.

The fans at home are just confused because Smithy and co have been pumping up KW as a player God himself would struggle to dismiss, and not to expect anything less than 50 every innings for the next decade.

I've been saying for a while that the combination of being saddled with 3 format captaincy + a form slump is not something that is helpful at this stage of his career.

If you want i can move onto tin-arse journeyman Voges for my next topic though.

Yeah I didn't want KW captain, but a lack of alternatives bar going back to Ross unless going with split captaincy.

Southee was not a viable option.

Latham still fields short leg and is test certainty only.

Watling could have been test captain, but he already bats and keeps.
