Nice 50 and then dumb shot from Nicholls

Watling shows appalling technique against a short one, and suddenly 427/5 But the big man at the crease

Latham 187*

30-40 runs and then it's time to declare IMO

Hell of a knock by Latham, but he isn't scoring freely enough and with enough wickets in hand to justify him going for a 250+ score. We need to win the match, which probably means giving ourselves 20 overs tonight to bowl

Will be interesting to see what they do

Suspect he'll be aggressive, and they'll be looking at time not runs. But same as you, 15-20 overs tonight but I reckon they might score a few first

Send the message out. 5 overs, I reckon. Get a lead of 250 and let's try to pick up 2-3 tonight.

Lead of 267 and it looks like we're going to bat it out. Oh well. Latham deserves to carry his bat, to be honest.

Some serious plod this morning from NZ. It’s harkens back to the days of Chris Pringle, Michael Owens, Willie Watson and Richard de Groen.

With Roydon Hayes and Richard Petrie as back up squad members.

Murphy Suas place in the team is being well imitated by Trent Boult.
