Lol, beyond ridiculousNathan Lyon will be sanctioned by the ICC for dropping the ball on AB de Villiers after the South Africa batsman was run out on day four of the Durban Test.
After the incident was reviewed by the match referee Jeff Crowe, Lyon was charged with conduct contrary to the spirit of cricket, a level one offence. He is expected to be fined a percentage of his match fee.
Lyon is believed to have contacted de Villiers overnight to apologise. He had also accepted the charge and no hearing was required. David Warner was not charged for his aggressive reaction to de Villiers' run out.

Agreed, you give it out deluxe like he does you have to expect it back in return. This is the kind of thing that gives the Aussies a bad name. They made no secret of their intention to give it to the Saffers verbally, even demanding that the stump mics be turned down to accomodate it.
Yet as soon as the saffers give some back Davey wants to take the moral high ground.
If your going to give it out you have to be able to take it.

Dizzying highs and heartbreaking lows
It wasn't supposed to be like this.
A famous test match win, deep in enemy territory, spearheaded by a maligned all-rounder come of age and a left-armed gunslinger at the peak of his powers.
The Australian dressing room should have been jubilant, with beers flowing and a stirring rendition of "Under the Southern Cross" being belted out.
Instead, the only thing louder than the silence was the sobbing of Steve Smith and the roaring of a furious coach.
"We won today boys, but at what cost?" he bellowed.
"JJ has made it clear we have nothing to celebrate."
"It's all tainted, and you should be ashamed of yourselves."
Bald, forthright and well-respected, Lehmann's words hit home hard.
"If you ever want to be good blokes, this is not the way to go about it."
