Some serious questions needed over a few spots. Where should Conway bat? Why is Sodhi picked (given at least one of the following is true - he’s terrible and/or no captain ever has confidence in him). Why are Nicholls and Latham’s places beyond question? I hate Santner as a red ball bowler, but he’s at least able to apply pressure unlike Sodhi…

Latham could fail to get over 20 this whole season and he wouldn't be under threat. It's in play with SA and Australia touring too, although he'll probably plunder SA's 7th xi for a quadruple ton and have the NZ media pushing him up to Hayden level.

Henry probably has the next match and then the SA series to make some runs. Again that understrength SA team may well prolong some careers and see us get absolutely belted by Australia lol.

Don't agree with everything here, but on the mark with Nicholls, and the disparity in how Ajaz and Nicholls are viewed. Nicholls is our wee Davey, beast in tests at home (blessed with Labs' like luck), club cricketer away - yet an automatic selection away. Ajaz takes all 10 wickets in an innings away, and can't even get a contract...
