I don't mind it every now and then. Definitely not every test match.

Batsman have got it easy most of the time.

It's more exciting where every run is valuable and hard to get.

I'm all for balance in pitches, but I don't think a batter should have to go about their innings assuming a ball with their name on it is going to squirt off the wicket sooner rather than later. The 2011 test between NZ and Australia at Hobart is an example of a low scoring match with much better balance between bat and ball.

There were less than 180 overs in this test match by my rough count.
