So much hype surrounding this match and it should live up to all of it! I'm excited!

I don't know what I am most excited about but I can't wait and I think much of the cricketing world feels the same.

If England win the series by 1-0 or better they will be ranked number one. The series should see Tendulkar get his 100th international century ... among so many other things. I am giddy with excitement and the match is over 21 hours away.

I meant to mention the DRS situation in this match/series as well. There will be DRS, but it is not going to be used on LBW decisions. In case I need a source. The reality is that I am more on top of these things than the news sources...

I'm going to this bad boy. To say I'm psyched to be going to a test match at Lords is the understatement of the millenium!

I am incredibly jealous. I wish I could go too:(

Actually they have to win by a margin of two. so 2-0, 3-1
What I said was right but a margin of two will see them overtake India. Winning by one would see them equal first - still number one ranking.

Poms choose Broad over Bresnan, would've gone with Bresnan tbh.
Me too, but he took a 5fer for his county last week...
I like what Cricinfo said about it before the match
Cricinfo said:
Some other news swirling Twitter is on England's selection, Stuart Broad is battling against Tim Bresnan for the third-seamer spot. The good news for all of you who enjoy a pantomime villain is that Broad might have edged it.

Strauss fell for 22 with a stupid shot just after lunch, but the Trott and Pietersen partnership since has been solid on 63 at the end of the 49th, with KP on 22, Trott on 56 and England 125/2

If you get a chance, get online and listen to the BBC's commentary of the game. Geoffrey Boycott's disdain for the BBCI is both accurate and hilarious.

Zaheer out for the rest of the test match, game over
I read that his status for the rest of the match and series was still unclear. Any test match he misses is a huge blow for India.

I wouldn't say game over just yet, the weather could help India get a draw ...

I love this picture I saw on Cricinfo

Pietersen got his first home century since 2008. Dhoni's had a bowl, I would say this match is living up to all the hype and then some

Makes them somewhat useless outside India, that for sure.

Chucked a lazy 5 on England before the test match, hopefully they can bowl well now.
